Must say it has been a while since I had to post here. After mtn fixed my tower everything is running 100%

Afri team anything in for the mobile clients for year end holidays ?

I need to setup the Afrihost APN on my wifes new Blackberry Z30. I cannot find and option to add an APN, do I just change the MTN one?

There should be an option to add on the menu where APNs are displayed. Weird. BB interfaces still confuse me :p
Did you manage to edit the APN though?

Will try tonight, as I don't have the phone with me at the moment. I'm also not very fond of the BB interface.

I see BB are moving over to Android though, their latest phone doesn't look too bad.
 
Seems like Afrihost is down this morning. Had to switch to MTN apn to get whatsapp to work.

Edit: and now it works again when I switch back.

Shouldn't be any issues from our end - both APNs will use the same network infrastructure.
Drop me a PM with you details and I can take a look at what's gone wrong.
 
I have an MTN PAYG sim that doesn't connect on 4G (as well as another Afrihost SIM that does). Is the procedure to do a SIM swap at MTN, and how much downtime before new SIM is provisioned?

SIM swap takes less than 24 hours, if I'm not mistaken, but the old SIM should work until the new one kicks in. Just go over to any MTN store with all your RICA docs and they should be able to do it all in one sitting. You can also do it via 173 but just be ready for the security questions they'll have for you.
 
Got an email for the CONTRACT‑FREE VOICE, DATA & SMS mobile package.

Just wanted to find out is it only national coverage?

I might be moving to China for a short while. I want to keep my number. Don't know if this package would work?
