Still no joy,can it really still be pending on MTN for 2days?

It would depend entirely on how quickly the shop you purchased the sim card at RICA'd it. I'll try and see what I can find out, can you PM me the number please.

Was RICA'd as I stood there,and got the MTN SMS Confirmation
I can phone and SMS to the number so it's definitely active

Hi,

Client zone got down graded?

Used to have the feature where you hover over the graph and it shows your usage data. Now data is missing.

I can use the app to see last 7 days but what if I need to see data from further back. Only option is to click the link for data to be emailed.

Afriman gonna be around tomorrow?
 
Do I really need a full photocopy of my proof of residence to give to courier for RICA (this is second SIM I've had couriered too). They don't require that in the mobile shops.

Dunno if i'm unique,but only option offered was go to MTN and buy a prepaid sim,then switch it over

In clientzone there is an option to order a new sim with a new mobile package. I'm thinking it's maybe easier to go to CNA & get an mtn sim and have it provisioned rather than wait for courier.

It depends on your payment method, Credit Card is usually the quickest - with delivery marked around 48 hours once it's with the courier.
There's a full tracking suite on ClientZone so you can keep track of your order :)

By law, RICA require a proof of address that's less than 3 months old, a copy of your ID as well as your original ID. Each SIM needs to be RICA'd.

But why does the courier need to take away the copy of proof of address when stores don't do that? (is it because they are actually supposed to make a photocopy but don't bother?)

Anyone issuing a SIM needs to follow the RICA process, it's illegal to hand over a SIM without confirming proof of address as well as your ID.

Look I understand that it's waiting on MTN to do the transfer ( 70 hours and counting? ) however
* I'm your paying client,not theirs
* As such I made a choice to pay you to deliver a service,this includes support and escalation,right now i'm being told to wait for MTN?
* Why did I only have the option to buy an MTN SIM when I used the once-off promo link? Had I the option I would've ordered a Afrihost SIM like I have with my WIFI and avoided all this nonsense
* I'm wasting my time and phonebills to chase up answers,and "let's hope it happens soon" is not an answer i'm willing to accept anymore
