Yes this I gather, and it's nonsense. If you offer this to MTN prepaid customers your own customers should get this as well. Not acceptable, especially since it is not mentioned anywhere.

Yes I am certain, I have done it 3 times and had help here on myBB and from support staff to activate it and it STILL does not work. This is even more irritating than the above issue as everytime it happens I get the above response, for the last time:

I have not had one auto-topup work, voice or data. It goes to R0 or 0Mb and nothing happens. The balances on there now I loaded manually.

If the package is a prepaid one with us, regardless of the SIM, the 500MB can't be allocated.
If that SIM is prepaid and the package with us is a month to month, the Afrihost Plus+ will be allowed.

Drop me a PM with a number that hasn't worked on an auto-topup and I'll see if our Devs can dig up anything.

Why? I can be on MTN and have a prepaid everything and the AH+ benefit will work no problem, or even get another SIM from you with absolutely no package on it... So why do you not offer this to your pre-paid data customers? The 500Mb free worked last month so it can certainly be done, you just have a product restriction that is not mentioned anywhere I can find... It's not acceptable and needs to be escalated. Someone has sneakily changed the benefit in my clientzone from the 074 prepaid number to inactive btw.

Can you please tell me what the rate per MB is, I joined up on Monday afternoon and have managed to chomp through 300 MB in two days on normal use, I have wifi at home. Normal usage of data on MTN is about 1.5 gig per month & if I remain with you I could quite possibly be looking at 6 gig per month :erm: Please explain otherwise I will be cancelling this in a very short time :mad:

Per MB rates differ from account to account.
Something must be using the data though, have you run through your phone to see what app's using up/ downstream data?
 
Please explain why the rates differ & I have not changed any settings on my phone since switching to Afrihost from MTN so why would there be such a vast difference in the amount of data used between the you and MTN?

They differ based on the data allocation and price.
This doesn't have any affect on your data usage though.

What device are you using?

Okay I have cancelled yesterday I used 319MB data switched back to MTN and so far have used 30MB in and out of facebook whatsapp etc
Data usage shows Facebook 300MB & Android OS 290MB Google play store 116MB and various other applications not sure whats going on but it's fine no I switched back to MTN

I find my usage on the Afrihost account excessive.
There is also a big difference between the Huawei usage reported vs Afrihost.
Fortunately I don't believe in contracts.

Could you maybe post a comparison? Our radius logs are pretty accurate. Is the Huawei device measuring your uploaded data as well?
 
for 2 weeks I have intermittent connection. Just submitted this support request:
"For about 2 weeks the internet is intermittent. I first noticed it in the evenings and sent an email to support. The reponse was that they reset my connection and I must reset it my side. I have done this many times even before my complaint. The problem is not resolved and appears to affect me all day, not only in the evenings.

I suspect it is possibly an upstream problem as there are also problems on Vodacom 3G. However the Afrihost mobile connection is most frequently affected, as the Vodacom connection works when the Afrihost is not working.

I am looking at cancelling my connection unless you can rectify this."

Not aware of any general issues.

EDIT: Scratch that, seeing a trend of queries coming in from CPT. What area are you in?
