Tried this many many times, not helping
Still not working.
Have switched to the myntn APN.
Thanks.We're still working on this.
I'll have feedback posted here and the noticeboard as soon as it's available.
Why does the Afrihost apn crash so often and for soo long?
Apart from congestion at certain times I have never had so many data outages as with Afrihost mobile, since I've been with Afrihost I have experienced more data outages than I have in the last 10yrs combined.
What physical constraints make the Afrihost apn so unstable compared to the default Mtn apn?Sorry about the downtime, should be sorted now though.
This outage barred, we haven't seen a Mobile issue in a while![]()
What physical constraints make the Afrihost apn so unstable compared to the default Mtn apn?
What happens to Afrihost apn data on the backend vs the Mtn apn?

There must be some functional difference though, else I wouldn't have been able to switch over the the mymtn APN last night in order to get a working data connection. The Afrihost APN should perform exactly like the MTN one, it's essentially just management change to ensure that the bandwidth uses is assigned to the right user and service provider. Otherwise you are on the exact same network and should be getting the same coverage and speeds.
I heard from people that use your data that you are the cheapest out there?
I was doing a bit of research and realise you not really? I was planning on getting a mobile 3g router and get a 5gig cap from Afrihost. But when i was looking at the costs for 5gig cap on 3G i noticed Vodacom is almost R50 cheaper than the same cap on Afrihost?

am i seeing things wrong?
It looks like you're comparing a 24 month contract to a month-to-month offering.
Yea it is contract vs m2m. should i rather be comparing prepaid to m2m?

That is a pretty good price, but it's tying you into a 24 month contract, whereas with us it's a month to month basis.
Also, with us you have a much higher level of control, no crazy out of bundle charges and a pretty great interface to manage everything else
