Carryover for just one month? Which data is used first the following month?

If you have the Afrihost Plus double up on the topup, I take it the total data rolls over (IE, double whatever the topup amount was)?

Yes, topups rollover for one full month (so expire on the last day of the next month). That applies whether they are regular topups or 2 for 1 topups. :)
 
Got no mobile for +-40 mins now. Mtn data works fine...switch over to Afrihost and Android network thingy asks me to sign in...?

Just checked... I do have some data left

Here's a good one for you...

A FTP file upload circa 9Mb upload via Afrihost mobile LTE to a Afrihost Hosted server = more that 3 minutes.
The very same 9Mb file FTP'ed to a non-Afrihost server = around 20 seconds.

So, I do some extra tests and found that Telkom ADSL and Cell C 3G both upload the same file to the Afrihost sever in no time at all with Cell C 3G at around 25 seconds for the 9Mb file. The Telkom ADSL line was about 1.5 minutes but it's only a 4Mbps line.

So it now begs the question; does MTN not like your servers using FTP or is it the other way round? :D

Oh wow... That's a strange one...

It may be the routing that is a bit wonky, would you be able to post a traceroute to the server using your MTN account and then from one of the accounts that upload at a faster speed.
 
Okay so my porting didn't go that smoothly and I'm stuck.

My data is working but I can't make any calls. I'm stuck at this point:

Simply dial *141*774*1# to give consent. When I do that I get two options of which I pick 1 to give Afrihost consent but it then replies with "There's a problem with your number. Please call MTN customer service." Or something to that effect.

However if I phone 173 then there's no option to speak to a consultant and none of the options that they list have really got anything to do with my query.

Afripeople, what must I do?

A work colleague bought a usb stick and sim card and she's got the exact same problem. I can't remember how it was fixed and it doesn't look like I have the private messages anymore.

Can one of you Afrihost people please help?

Hi Afriginie... I have been unable to connect via the APN for the past few days now. Works fine when I switch over to MTN. Occurs on two of my sim cards only for some reason

Hi Guys,

Just a heads-up, not too sure if your notification system is working for your mobile data.

My account is capped and they only way I figured this out was because everything stopped working - and I do have notifications setup in the clientzone.

That's not cool... And you didn't recieve either the SMS or email notifications?

Could you PM me the account that you didn't receive the notifications for.
