Unfortunately, we are experiencing an ongoing outage affecting our mobile and LTE packages.

Medium Impact • Outage | Air Mobile & MTN Fixed LTE | Intermittent

MTN core network teams are working on an issue affecting Air Mobile and MTN Fixed LTE clients. Affected clients may experience intermittent connection. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

We are done with the testing and we will move half of all the CPT clients from MTN Tygerberg to MTN Greatwesterford due to capacity constraints at Tygerberg EPG.

We expect to do our final migration next week.

Due to growth we have run completely out of handset pools and will be embarking on am IPv6 upgrade from January for Airmobile and Fixed LTE on the MTN network.

@Afrigirl I'm trying to order fixed LTE for my 73 year old mum, and the process is frustrating us. She tried to do it telephonically but was told it can only be done online, so guess who has to help.

After all the OTP stuff (with her living 30km away) to place the order on her behalf, we're now stuck with back and forth with FICA. Order can't be shipped until FICA is done. Pictures are "not clear", she has to retake them, send it to me, I have to log in with the OTP nonsense again and reupload it.

You guys forget that there are actually old people, or people who aren't capable of doing these things on their own. Please can you urgently help to just get this sorted? They need the router to be delivered early next week, so it can be installed for CCTV cameras on their business premises before everyone goes holiday.

889896, thanks. Two are approved and one is still showing pending (the picture of yourself holding the ID). It's urgent that the router be delivered early next week.

Where did get the ticket ID? Were you assisted through WhatsApp or emails?

Just tested to add a card and I was able to add it after 3d secure and the R1 was charged it added successfully.
 
got it working that way thank you, but now I've being issue 3 eSims?
assume once the Rica approved the others will fall away?

Did you have multiple e-sims in the cart when you did the checkout?

how long should a new sim take to active?
I've installed the eSim, it has connected to MTN and got a sms saying in progress.
Then nothing else, can receive SMS, use data, make or receive calls.

I did change the APN settings as well.

Can't even call 135.
Please add me to the conversation.
 
What is the problem? Why I need to activate again and again but just can't connect?

We are currently experiencing a major outage on our core network subscriber databases that track usage and subscriber mapping.

Fixed LTE and Mobile data are affected as we don't have subscriber mapping for these subscribers.

We are working on the issue. Apologies for the issues experienced.
