I am also wondering if VoLTE and VoWiFi are being worked on for MVNO's.

I believe MTN are actively targeting the shutdown of 3G to refarm spectrum by the end of this year.

Looks like 2G will hang around for a while for IoT devices.

It has been working on Melon Mobile which is an MTN MVNO since January so don’t know what the holdup is with Afrihost

For now MTN is running the trial with Melon, it has not been made available to all MVNOs.

So does this mean that voice calls don't transverse Afrihost's network/infra? But only the data portion?

Wasn't aware of any other APN but yes the 'afrihost' apn. Last two hours no connection.

Anyone had success activating Airmobile Prepaid eSIM on iPad? Working fine on iPhone, but not activating on iPad. Tried two different supported iPads (as listed per Airmobile website). Contacted support via WhatsApp this morning and got this feedback:

I doubt packages have anything to do with ESIM compatibility. Sometimes devices just reject it. Had it on my Samsung phone too. Manually loaded it and it was fine.

Cancellation Policy.
Should you return, cancel or downgrade your Wireless LTE SIM & device package in less than 6 months from signup date, or your account falls into arrears, you will automatically be charged a cancellation fee of R999.
