Afrihost Mobile Feedback

The mysterious thing is that I've seen many Melon Mobile users claim that VoWIFI and VoLTE works on Melon Mobile despite them also being an MTN MVNO. And Afrihost claims that they can't implement VoWIFI because MTN does not allow MVNOs to do so.

Using Kastelo and they also MTN MNVO and VoWiFi and VoLTE simply works...
Because of this I have disabled my AH eSIM !

We have an exciting promo for you.

Air Mobile 2 for 6 promo is now live. Topup with the new 2GB topup option for R60 and get 4GB free. That means you get 6GB of data for R60.

The promo allows unlimited topups on all your simcards. The free data has the same data rules as bought data which means you can transfer it to friends and family.

The data is anytime data.

Ready to pay R10 per GB of data. Get an Air Mobile prepaid esim or physical and topup with the 2Gig option. :)

so, supersonic is binning the on the go plans as of Jan.. is there an expiry on this 6-for-2 promo, and does it apply to auto-topups if we set it to auto-topup with 2gb(R60)?

I arranged a while ago after a long period of FttH downtime (several days) for an Afrihost wireless router to serve as backup when the FttH service goes down. Eventually got around recently to installing it - it worked fine for two days and was then "locked" out of the network, for being an "invalid device" - this was the router Afrihost supplied ! The genius on the help-line reckoned the cause my removing and re-inserting the SIM, notwithstanding 1) the router was powered off at the time and 2) the router worked for a period subsequently. They really are know-nothings; I suspect I would have more joy with an AI bot; and of course no-one of any competence was available - Afrihost are really caught up in their corporate bs. People grumble about the vituperousness of comments on social media but they're happy to construct and hide behind walls of obfuscation and mendacity that are designed to exhaust customers trying to deal with legitimate grievances.

When taking out an 'AirMobile data only' package must one first order the physical sim and thereafter order it as an eSIM? Or can one order it at the start as an eSIM?

Should one first get a prepaid SIM, convert it to eSIM to check that it works on the device in question (an iPhone 16) and then upgrade that to a month-to-month AirMobile data only package?

You can go straight for the e-sim, they work on the iPhone 16.

Hello.

The Data-only packages you are seeing on the website are for the Airmobile Legacy.

With Airmobile MVNO, we have prepaid and monthly packages. The monthly packages are airtime and data allocation.

You can initially sign up for an esim, it will work on an iphone 16.
