Afrihost MTN Fixed LTE-A Thread

Sorry to ask an obvious question, still waiting for delivery buuuut I'm seeing terms on this thread like CAT6 approved etc.

Does that mean the cable to my PC ? Obviously all wireless devices doesn't matter but do they include a Cat6 cable with the router? I don't think my current ones are cat6

We mean LTE category 6
 
On Friday it was “no service”. I was away yesterday and got this message when I arrived back home. Really getting annoyed now.

Has the same thing when I was trying to get connected.. rebooted it every 15 mins.
After about 2 hours it connected. I think it needs time to sync tower data with network. Stable since it connected

Thanks, have done that on Friday already. Phoned Axxess and they’re also stumped. I’m still waiting for them to phone me back as promised.

Try resetting your router, before setting it up again with the correct APN.

Sharing my current settings as FYI.

Router: B618s-22d

Dial-up>Connect page
-roaming =enabled
-Auto select = enabled

Dial up>Profile management page
-profile name = axxess
IPType = IPv4 & IPv6
APN= ws.axxess.fwa
 
I need to contact Axxess later aswell, got a strange issue with my new LTE router (b525s-65a). Received it on Thursday afternoon and configured the APN. Left it on for two days and restarted the router Saturday afternoon. Confirmed that the router is connected to internet (blue internet light and connection status on router web interface) but non of my devices can connect to the internet. From my PC i can ping things on the internet (IP and fqdn) but i cant load any webpages. switched off FW on router and factory reset router as well, same issue.
 
Just called CCD Couriers Cape Town depot( company has frighteningly bad Google review of 1.7 ) who advised me although they received my sim Friday past will only be delivering Wednesday....

Guess it's not viable for them to delivery to anywhere outside 10km radius from their depot as a priority.
Makes one think what they do for people stuck out in the sticks....

I got mine on Friday. I changed the apn and waited the whole weekend and nothing. Mine had signal but said Disconnected where you get your error message. Apparently Axxess had some issue loading the data onto the sims or something like that. When I went online my profile had no data at all. It was just blank. This morning the data is now reflecting. I am not home now but will be soon. I will check to see if it is now working and will post speed test results.
 
Must say CCD couriers is clueless, was scheduled for 9-11am delivery, got a sms at 11 to say they running and pitched 40 minutes later.

You lucky they even pitched up on the day looking at their reviews.

Phoned support and the lady said she’s logged a ticket to re-provision my SIM.
 
Well my issue is resolved. All working now since Axxess allocated my data on my sim and account. I had to enter in the apn again as it gave the error connection failed the profile is invalid.
 
Not bad considering my kid is streaming in the Xbox.
