pfSense is detecting 41.170.73.33 as the gateway, and is pinging that automatically. It's obviously not optimised to respond to ICMP packets - hence the higher latency from that server.

Just wanted to say a massive thanks for everything! I've always stuck with you guys, and seeing the new network improve has been worth the wait! Also, the bonus gig's are cool too

I'll get the right IP to setup for you in a bit

Our network guys confirm the IP isn't an indication of latency across the network.
Maybe setup to ping one of our DNS boxes?
