Would you mind pinging bras.afrihost.com?

It reflects no anomalies

That's exactly what we want to see on that.

Do you have any other Blizzard games installed at the moment? I just want to see if the latency is happening on all the other Blizzard servers as well.

only D3 on Blizzard and ofc Forsaken World is Perfect World International.

Update ............ not sure why, but it has settled down for now (even checked on Guild Wars 2 and average ping is 230 ms).

Trackmania was running smoothly for about 2 hours today... latency good.

So far no problems.

Well done Afrihost, looks like the new network is a complete success. :)

IPC for the South reduced pings times and they are consistent. I miss the short routes though.

Looking a bit wonky there.
Can you turn off your router, keep it off for a few mins and power it back up please? That's worked for other clients with similar issues.

Not sure if it is related, but if it is, as much as I'd hate to say this, WD Afrihost. I just *TRULY* hope that the network can REMAIN in this pristine condition, and that faults and upgrades will be done BEFORE it becomes massive issues again in the future.

NapAfrica CPT Traffic, shows a MASSIVE increase over yesterday's traffic (Presumably AH).
napafrica-ct1.png

NapAfrica JHB Traffic, shows a MASSIVE increase over yesterday's traffic (Presumably AH).
napafrica-jb1.png

MTN CINX Traffic, shows a MASSIVE reduction over yesterday's traffic (Presumably AH).
showrrd.png

If these changes in traffic truly is because of AH's move away from MTN, I am impressed. Network has been stable here all day long (except for one unexplained disconnect), but it's clear that there aren't too much QOS implemented yet. Again, hopefully when it comes, it won't have too much of an impact.

One of the main reasons and goals in setting this network up is to tackle these exact issues.

This is my heartbeat song and I'm gonna play it
Been so long I forgot how to turn it up, up, up, up all night long
Oh up, up all night long

Can someone embed the video for lazy people (that's me)
I could do with a loud tune to go with my coffee!

I wonder WTH ever happened to DINX :wtf: One day it was up and the next it was gone.

Not wanting to open up a can of worms, so let's not derail the threads now... But IMHO CINX,JINX,DINX, they all dying a slow painful death. NapAfrica is growing astronomically, and more and more peers are moving resources there, rather than to ISPA peering points.

Derail away, this kinda stuff is always interesting to talk about :)
