Odd.
Drop me a PM with your DSL username and I'll take a look at some logs from my end.

Very odd.
So other devices connected to the same network don't see anything like this?

What other devices? The other computers connected to the same router are off and my wifey connected on wifi just 10 minutes ago. I bet she'll see the same result ... hang on ... here comes my waifu's laptop:

Thanks for confirming, it's fine you're on Linux :)
Can you run an MTR please?

Ya, we love it!

A wot please??? And I thought we're the supergeeks installing and conducting traceroutes ... but MTR???

Hehe, no worries :)
The command should look like this:

mtr --report mybroadband.co.za

You may need to install the package, depending on what flavour of Linux you're using:

Ubuntu/Debian:
sudo apt-get install mtr

CentOS/Fedora:
yum install mtr

Arch:
pacman -S mtr

Hmmm your packet loss is happening on the same hop. Have you tried playing around with DNS?

No, the router obtain it automatically. Can't say that I noticed a difference in browsing and YouTube performance. :)

Tested it again and no loss. I was playing a YouTube video during the previous tests. Maybe it affected the results.

Is the graph not maybe reporting 4MB/s?
Won't the PS also show the download rate?

PS doesn't show download rate, I can assure you it's 4Mbps, as I often watch in my router when streaming YouTube etc. If it was 4MB that download wouldn't have taken all day. Was only 19Gigs. I have seen that same graph peak at 37Mbps.

Hehe, no worries :)
The command should look like this:

mtr --report mybroadband.co.za
Ya, as I wrote I got MTR installed already, was just not sure about the command syntax. But here you are:

[orca@MiniMax ~]$ mtr --report mybroadband.co.za
