Afrihost New Network Feedback

Hi Afripeeps, I was planning to switch from a 4MB Business Uncapped Bundle to a 8MB Home Premium Bundle but I didn't get a chance to do it over the weekend. I'm assuming it's too late now and will have to wait till the end of February?

If the new package is more expensive than the old one it will upgrade now and you will be charged pro-rata.

If it's cheaper the downgrade will happen beginning of next month.

You should be able to do it now, just depends on the billing around it - it may only take affect at month end if it's seen as a downgrade.

Not sure if you saw my reply yesterday?
Either way, drop me a PM with your details and I can take a look at this.

Sorry, saw that this morning and meant to reply when I got to work. I sent the PM.

Awesome, thanks. Changed the speed and the package in the ClientZone. Will it re-bundle them automatically or do I have to do it manually?

It bundles your DSL line and data, which saves you a few bucks every month :)

I've got both my line and business uncapped package with Afrihost. Can you please point me in the direction of the "bundle and save" link?

Graci

Edit: Never mind; found it! Graci nevertheless; I never would've known about this if it wasn't raised on this thread.

Anyone else having problems with international sites atm? Can't seem to log into steam/make a skype call. Mybroadband site is working fine, can load bbc.co.uk really slowly.
All pings/tracerts are timing out, I have restarted my router.

EDIT: Skype seems to have fixed itself, going to start checking everything else.
EDIT2: Pings still not working, steam isn't logging in. Skype call is fine though. This is weird.
EDIT3: YouTube also works. Going to fire up a torrent and see if that works.
EDIT4: torrent is dead for me. YouTube is streaming in HD.
EDIT5: This is my ping test so far:

Glad you found it :)
Drop me a PM if you'd like me to double check if you're unsure.

Sorry about this :(
Sounds like an odd one though, not seeing any issues from our end.
What DNS servers are you using?

Yours, I can't change it, the Telkom Pace router has the option greyed out.
Steam still isn't working, stuck on connecting. The pings are timing out again now.

Thanks for checking.
Is there a speedtest and traceroute I can take a look at? Sounds like there's an overall issue with your connection.

Just logged onto one of the desktops with a LAN connection, bras is still timing out and all the pings. Tracerts also don't work past the hop off my network.

Maybe something locally is blocking you here?
Drop me a PM with your DSL username and I'll see what I can spot from my end.

Another speedtest. This time I also checked all the phones as well, only these two desktops, a laptop and 3 phones are currently on the WiFi.

EDIT: I really hope this is not a Telkom life fault. I had a similar issue yesterday where I just restarted the router and it worked again.

Thanks.
That latency doesn't look good at all. I'll follow up on your PM now.
