It's probably the way their system is set up, whereby your New months allocation of data is automatically triggered on the date of the New month once the debit order goes off. I could be wrong though

I've been with MWeb for probably 10 years, very happy with the service all along etc, have a 4 MB uncapped account. After a bad stint and sour experience with Afrihost last year, a month or so ago I needed some more data plus a backup so I signed up for a 50 GB capped Afrihost account to try them again. I've been very happy with Afrihost since, getting good speeds all day etc, I actually started to consider dropping MWeb all together and getting something like 200 GB capped Afrihost data per month.
The thing of this morning once again placed doubt in my mind, I had to switch back to my MWeb account in order to access the internet, show must go on, I've got work to do.

Sorry about that, we're having some issues with our payment processing. You don't have to do anything :)
AfriMan addressed this in another thread earlier today.

Morning,

We definitely know about this and we're working with our payment partners to resolve this. All affected clients should be receiving an SMS shortly, basically conveying that this will be resolved on our side and no further action in required by them at present.

This should not affect service provision in general, though some Mobile Voice clients may receive their airtime allocation a little later than we'd like. We'll try to make sure the impact is minimal.

Sorry to hear about the troubles :(
We did have a brief issue this morning, but our network team did fix things pretty quickly. I'm afraid outages can and do happen from time to time.
