SNR and line attenuation?
SNR up 6.1, down 6.1
Line attenuation up 18, down 32
When my line was still on 4 MB line attenuation was the same, SNR down stream was also the same, but SNR up use to be higher I think like 19.

Steam store not loading again - going to test on other ISP now - steam stats page claims everything is online.
SNR is low for a 8Mbps sync. A higher sync speed would push your SNR lower making your line unstable in my opinion.
Same happened to me, I reset the router completely and reconfigured it, and also set my ip to dynamic, and it all seems fine now. store working and downloads going full speed
I'm currently paying for a 10 MB line but only getting 8 MB speeds, by the sounds of it I might as well downgrade my line to 8 MB, I'm just scared that Telkom then further mess it up and only sync me at 6.
If you change to 8 your actual speeds will be around 6. Check your PM, go that route first and if you still can't get the sync at a stabile 10 then I would suggest dropping.
I have a 10Mbps line too and this is what I usually get.I'm currently paying for a 10 MB line but only getting 8 MB speeds, by the sounds of it I might as well downgrade my line to 8 MB, I'm just scared that Telkom then further mess it up and only sync me at 6.

I personally think whoever Afrihost uses for international connectivity is to blame. All local traffic is fine. But once you try to access international services everything goes to hell. Just looking at the large number of hops in trace routes vs other ISP's is astounding.Same, iOS update crawling

AH the last time we saw download issues across multiplied protocols you had serious IPC issues. This is starting to look all to familiar.

Mweb to Sipgate.de is 11 hops
IS to Sipgate.de is 10 hops
Afrihost to Sipgate.de is 30 hops
