I'd say go for the 2Meg. The extra speed will make up for the shaping.
Thanks Chevron will definitely consider it.

It was a bit silly assigning colours IMO. Gives the impression that you're getting less of a product other than just defining the speed of the product. Oh wait...
No. In what way is it a downgrade? A shade of colour?
You liar. It just refers to the speed of your line/dataBaka. The colours refers to the level of priority when shaping is being applied. Platinum accounts will get more priority compared to bronze *SILVER*
The only thing Afrihost has done is pass on the new adsl speeds at the lower costs. I got the new rates when my previous 2mb line was syncing at 4mb then I gave Afrihost a call and they just changed my bundle to a "2mb line syncing at 4m" with a 4mb uncapped account for R597. That means Afrihost has not cut their prices! They are just passing on the free Telkom upgrade. Which is rather disappointing for "The top ISP in SA".
So in layman's terms all new 2mb uncapped bundles are actually old 1mb line prices with old 2mb uncapped data prices. Same goes with the 4mb bundles.
Thank you. Thus i just moved from a 4 MB account to what used to be a 2MB syncing at 4MB. I WANT MY GOLD STATUS. I'd rather cancel the bundle and get my line from Helkom, and still keep my Gold 4MB Uncapped acc

Those are some seriously cool prices.
R375 for a 4Mb and 50GB..... that's pretty much the definition for win.
