I saw in a previous thread that Afriman said they are working on a News Server for Afrihost Clients that will work on the MTN Network.

Any ideas when this will be up and running. I must say, I really do miss my IS News Server.

@Afriman, Please announce the launch of the new News Server in this thread.
 
Hmm, yesterday I was connecting just fine to news.is.co.za ...
 
I suspect this is a temporary arrangement...
 
LOL log into your Client Zone on their website and check ur account they probably have not moved u yet. I would ask them to stay on IS or be moved back from MTN if they do move us later on.

Is that in the Netherlands? Or is it cached locally?
It's working fine for me (2mb uncapped). :)
 
I'm just seeing this thread for the first time :(

The IS News server should be unavailable to everyone on MTN. With the last @is.afrihost clients moving over by the end of the week, it should be unavailable to pretty much everyone.

Our own news server (With MTN) is close to being launched. I'll grab all the details when it is and post it here and in other Afrihost threads so you guys can have a go at it. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated :)
