It is not so crazy when you want a better quality. As much as you say it is great, there are still people reporting problems with Mweb. Just look at this forum, and even tonight I have commented on another topic with crappy Mweb speeds. I have built my network up so as to avoid any down time, and so as much as Mweb uncapped may be up a lot of the time, I don't want 89%, I want 99%. With SAINET I don't have problems that so many cheap 4Mbit uncapped users are having. I am open to change, and from the comments today I will certainly explore Mweb, but even you have to admit, Mweb does not have a perfect uncapped 4Mbit record on these forums. It is not fun when people start telling me the internet is slow, and what am I going to do about it.

Horses for courses, and I think it is clear that he is running a business (or supporting a large number of users). In that situation of course you would expect to pay more.

MWeb "home" uncapped ADSL is meant for individual CONSUMERS, *not* for people who have to depend on it for their business or livelihood. As with all these things (even Telkom's ADSL lines) this is a "best effort" - not guaranteed - product.

MWeb obviously has has various issues (including the SEACOM one) but so far (6 weeks in) I am happy with what was promised and what has been delivered. Note that I do not use torrents, and I am not a gamer - which is where a lot of the "problems" seem to be.

However, would I put my business on MWeb "home" uncapped ADSL? No. That's what their "business" packages are for - and for that you pay more.

+1 ... I agree with DuckieZA, the Mweb Home is great for us everyday users but will be a bit light in the pants for a business user.

Thanks, yes. I contacted them the day they released it. The problem is they are specials and the sales person said they would end "soon". After that you would still be fixed in your low contract monthly (max 50GB), but your top-ups would be at the "standard rate" of R69/gig. I think I will give them another call and query if the 15/gig top-up is a "soon" to finish special

I don't think the R15 p/gb is a "special" , since it's available on more than the Titan Packages. Also they call this "Recharge" and have a whole new menu/system dedicated to this recharge vouchers. So it sounds kinda silly to build this into your client website and onto the packages only to remove it later.

You can still topup at R69 p/gb ALSO and/or use the recharge vouchers. The only difference seems that the topups CARRY OVER [do not expire end of month] where the recharge vouchers expire end of the month.

Agreed, you have a point there. If I get my 200GB from Afrihost, it doesn't carry over anyway, so it would not make any difference. I am going to get a 50GB account and see how things go with the recharge system. Thanks.

Hey Guys, Just to let you all know that the 100GB + 100GB special has been extended till end August and we just aren't advertising it on our website. We apologise that the sales person misreported the special and we will extend this special to end Aug and no one has to downgrade to two 50GB accounts. You can still buy this package in the Client Zone, just not on the the website.

Well, I cancelled one of my internet accounts today (not my Afrihost ones), and decided to test a 50GB WA Titan package. I live on the property where I work, and routed all my traffic through the new account from home. I jumped from two online games and a few speed test sites, and I must say it is much better than most I have encountered. I have not seen my Guild Wars ping indicator in the green a looooooong time. So far I am impressed.
