Afrihost planning to launch mobile voice services

This is the most crucial point, I would say.

I've been asking for this for a few months now, but nothing yet.

I'll only be switching to Afrihost for voice if it's 1) prepaid and 2) at a similar call rate to MTN's current 60c/minute promotion.

Afrihost is already prepaid. You have to pay them before you can use their service.

Per second billing with 1cent/second pricing is going to be a winner. Of course keep the same data prices without OOB.

Well the 1c per second part is already available on MTN prepaid.

Will they handle the billing themselves or do we have to buy prepaid vouchers. Example on the clientzone.afrihost.com will we be able to set a specific limit..

I cannot wait until prices are unveiled once they enter the market.

That said, they currently only offer add-on data to postpaid MTN customers. If you're using MTN-prepaid, you can't take advantage of Afrihost's data prices on that sim card. I asked several times that this be made available to prepaid MTN customers, but nothing yet.

With the news that they are looking at offering voice, I'm expressing my hopes that this will also be managed on a month to month basis like the current data-only sim cards.
