Afrihost is planning to launch bundled voice, data, and messaging services on a single SIM

Per second billing with 1cent/second pricing is going to be a winner. Of course keep the same data prices without OOB.

This is great news but their market will be tiny.

They sold about 5000-6000 T1s so add another 5000 that will maybe sign in again that is very small number.

In any case lets hope for the best

I would sign up as long as I can port my number to them.

I will also port to them and start using their data services when they launch at 60c/minute. I would also like a service where I can connect to that number using a VOIP app over Wifi for when I am out of the coverage area to reduce roaming charges.

This is the most crucial point, I would say.

I've been asking for this for a few months now, but nothing yet.

I'll only be switching to Afrihost for voice if it's 1) prepaid and 2) at a similar call rate to MTN's current 60c/minute promotion.
