Yeah I have - another site that I use (not mentioning names for fear of it suddenly not working anymore either) ALWAYS streams at 3.1 ~ 3.3 mbps.
Same as p2p routing through uk.
Had this discussion with all the other afripeeps and always get told it is the exchange.
I am not denying that there is a problem with the exchange - just gatvol of every problem I experience being blamed on the exchange.

Anyways, reason for tonight's discussion - speedtest perfect but play store and YT dead.
Don't understand it.

I know it can get frustrating, but it's often a legitimate cause. :( I'll see if I can dig anything up regarding YT services, however most other users seem to not have any issues tonight. :)
 
Afrigreen in Pietermaritzburg is a no go tonight. Had to switch to afrihost which is ok. Couldn't even get speed test results on AG to post.
 
Afrigreen is poked on all my apple deices, incredibly slow access to some sites on safari, no access to App Store, and generally poor performance on a lot of sites. Switched back to normal Afrihost account and everything is okay.

I realize Afrihost is testing network options but this is getting so damn tedious.

Double check your Antivirus does not have some sort of DNS protection. Disable it if does and reboot. Figured out the other day that Avast internet security has DNS Secure, which was redirecting all Google related services to US servers instead of the local servers.

YouTube does not buffer at all since I disabled DNS Secure.

YT seems to perform ok on some videos and crappy on others.

Download Speed: 3049 kbps (381.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 418 kbps (52.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

Thank you for the suggestion. Will check out my anti-virus and see if there is anything like that.
 
Seems like things are back to normal. So much for AH telling us to do the iOS update at night. Just glad I am on iOS 9.1 Beta, but my wife was super irritated last night. If she complains again I will have no other option but to jump the AH titanic...
