afrigreen has been up and completely down frequently for the last hour.

Odd :( I've been running a few tests on my end and it seems pretty solid.
Could you PM me your details so I can take a closer look at what's happening?

AfriGuy, it's not solid, youtube on my end either auto detects to 240p or 480p....
It may be solid for you but that doesn't mean it's the same experience for everyone else...
EDIT - I have pause a 1080p video so it doesn't buffer

I haven't tested YouTube today - I was referring to the connection being solid and not dropping.
Will take a look at YouTube in a bit. Any specific videos I can check?

Question, what did a afrihost do with that R500 million from the MTN deal go? If I was AH I would have taken that money and invested it back into to MTN to buy more fibre backbone capacity etc.

Figures haven't been confirmed, nor will be discussed, sorry.
MTN purchased shares in the business, buying into the business. IPC, as a cost, has been maintained as normal.

Well, it's not constant, it jumps around a lot, so anywhere between 1800 - 5800kbps

Seems like content is being pulled down internationally, I'll have our guys check it out.
Was it working better yesterday?

Currently chatting with AfriGuy on PM about Authentication Failures on AfriGreen. I have 4 simultaneous connections on my account, have used them no issues on the normal Afrihost account for years, but the POC AfriGreen is now giving Random Authentication failures on at least two of the four locations...

Anyone else getting any Auth issues?

Hey guys

We're running similar tests to what we did yesterday. All your services will remain unaffected except P2P - may be a bit up and down. We're running the tests and tweaks now, I'll confirm when they will run until.

We've also picked up dropped packets and slightly higher latency on our - our network guys are tackling this :)

Im seeing poor speeds on my vanilla account, is that also affected?

It should definitely not be, the original Afrihost accounts are running on a completely separate network infrastructure.

Are you seeing the reduced throughput on DC++ or on another service?
