Then tried twitch.tv , tried one stream, played fine with high quality then changed quality to source and played fine again...
Good job AH, keep it up....

:D

I'm slightly ebullient at the moment.

Last day to cancel your account for the end of this month...

My performance on AfriGreen has been smooth, the odd hiccup when changes are made, but I guess it is a POC so fully understand that. Your geo locations need work, i.e. using surveymonkey.com as the shortcut URL redirects to the Dutch (Netherlands) site, as opposed to the proper site which is www.surveymonkey.com

Agreed! We're using a new IP-range, so we have to configure all of these Geo-Locations from the very beginning!

We should have this sorted out shortly.

Must say that the changes rolled out in the latter part of the evening is stellar.....Afrigreen is running near perfect!!!!

Agreed.Hopefully things are turning for the better.I also suspect the heavy users have migrated to VOX

I don't know man, unshaped uncapped accounts are pricey at other ISP's, a lot of us may complain but the price at which AH offers the Business Accounts are awesome...There are a lot hiccups but when these accounts work, they are EPIC....

Yeah that's effectively it. When Afrihost works great, there's no better. Problem is for the past year things have been horrible for the most part but they still remain the cheapest for what you get.

With Afrigreen I've seen top performances and some bad too but slowly it's become more good than bad and hopefully soon it will be mostly good.

Last couple days I've seen even better performances than I've ever seen with Afrihost.

I also expect that once performances start to be constantly good. People will migrate back as well.

And the cycle starts again.

I don't think they, or anyone else for that matter, can sustain low cost Business Uncapped and Capped Unshaped in the same pool at the current IPC cost and lead times.

Uncapped and Capped are in separate pools for a reason and the Afrihost Business Uncapped experiment appears to have broken the business model, or at least exceeded the planned network capacity. One can plan for capped, the data is purchased in advance, but unshaped Uncapped you are rolling the Dice.

This has only been seen as an issue by the majority of users in the last month but in the South and East we have been struggling with it for well over 6 months now and the issues, especially congestion in the evenings, go back several years.

Only Time will tell, maybe the new network will address the issues, they have the benefit of hind sight after all, but I personally think we need to see a change in the business model, and pooling, before it comes right and the different products stop impacting each other.

EDIT: Spelling

Time will definitely tell. Impossible to really predict whether they can sustain this. Hopefully they can for all our benefits.

Interesting that IPC costs continue to be the root cause of the problems in the ADSL market. Just a question, does IPC costing affect the fibre alternatives that are being rolled out? I'm not sure how the whole system hangs together...

Compared to previous experience on Saturday morning this is a vast improvement...

Still some congestion, but experiencing the same on other ISP's.
