Afrihost POC Network - Afrigreen Feedback

I still cannot download torrents...keeps connecting to peers. I tried a few to make sure that the problem wasn't with the torrent itself.
Works fine on my normal Afrihost account but not on my Afrigreen.

Still can't stream YouTube at anything higher than 360p and even then the buffering it's super annoying.

Strange. I streamed at 1080p without any issues. I thought i would be seeing worse issues since in PE and having to route via CT. For me has been better than the normal account. Will try test some more and see if i still get packet loss in BF4

Can someone please explain to me why i have 3 *'s and a timeout on my second hop?

Your Telkom exchange is running the new software.
Telkom have blocked the ability to PING their equipment.
The 3rd Hop is where it actually connects to Afrihost.

Streaming from iPad is horrible yet from laptop it works like a charm... guess streaming on wifi ain't the preferred option

New software, same sh.tty exchange for me then.
Guess its asking too much for Telkom to make changes that improve things

Your Wifi has nothing to do with Afrihost. It's your Router/interference from other devices such as microwaves, fridges or other routers.

They say they do it to help mitigate DDoS attacks.
Personally I think it is to stop people from blaming their exchange because of congestion.

Google latency issues have been fixed:

And, subsequently, all sites on Google Chrome are loading much faster. www.up.ac.za still not working, however.

A question to Afrihost.
Do I have to switch to this test network or can I just stay where I am ?
I ask this because I have never had a problem with AH except a week or 2 ago when I complained to Afriman that they were screwing up my connection to fix others and kudu's to him he admitted that this was the case and within no time all was well again.
Basically what I'm saying is if I stay where I am, will I somehow loose out in the future with a maybe better connection ?
I have 50+50 Capped connection.

Haven’t used my PC during the week but I’m still very happy with the AfriGreen network. The short routes are fantastic.

YouTube stats for nerds at 720 and 1080 are awesome.

I have no connection. It's completely dead. Anything up with Afrigreen?
