So are you telling me that you were maxing out your line and still able to browse with good response? So in other words when you were browsing your downloads were slowing making space for browsing ?

I believe that would have been the case. In most cases this load should be handled by your ADSL modem automatically.
 
Finally cancelled all my Afrihost accounts, and next is hosting.
Been testing Vox, and it works perfect for me in every way, without having to be a tester and answer a million and a half questions.
Cant believe I wasted R500+ for so many months.

At least I can stream movies from various sites Legal and none legal, while my family can stream something else on the TV in the lounge.
and the Latency in WoW on Vox is 183 (home) 189 (world) where Afrihost was always around 200 Plus.

So it is NOT MY CONNECTION OR EXCHANGE. but anyway, maybe you guys come back with a bang in the future and shock the Industry to gain customers.

Well it's very interesting what you experienced there...not many DSL routers come with good "out-of-the-box" QOS. What model you using ?

I'm not sure why AfriGuy uses, but I have a D-Link DSL-2750U, and it seems to keep a good balance most of the time between real-time services and downloads.
 
AfriGreen is pretty much dead ATM

Youtube buffering at any quality (but defaults at 144p)...
Speedtest shows under 1meg on a 20meg line....
Take ages to open MyBroadBand....

That's very strange indeed... Can I ask that when it happens again, can you please report the issue via the ClientZone, under Connectivity and your AfriGreen account. You should see the Report Issue button, I want our Team to check at your account's logs.

Yeah my downloads were downloading at line speed in fact couple weeks ago it was downloading at 1mbps on a 6mbps line.

Just testing tonight and seems I can download and browse those sites simultaneously. So far anyway.
 
Every night around 9:30 to 10:00 gaming becomes impossible.

Sure I'll try. Typically when it happens I can't open anything (responding to request to log stuff on clientzone)

This definitely shouldn't be the case. I wasn't testing specifically at that time though. I'll run some tests on my side and also report to the team to see if there are any similar reports :(

Had the same happen to me.
 
Youtube has been abysmal last night and this morning....I had to switch over to another ISP just so i could stream videos....When will all this be fixed?

From the tests I've been running this morning the performance has been on point. Any tests that you can paste here?
 
how can the performance always be on point
we had problems from yesterday but there is never any problems on your side
this morning at 8am afrigreen was completely dead
and it is friday again

We really need to see some test results though, I think was was asked over in Business too.
The network is up and running, I'm posting from it right now. Have you tried using your old account? If both report as down for you, chances are there's a fault on your line.

Can you PM me your info so I can see why your connection is down?
 
Okay vs the old account i could barely get 250gigs of usage before everything got super slow, with a ton of packet drop that sometimes I can't use teamspeak.

I am now at 500GB and the account is going strong I am super happy! No package drops what so ever even under heavy use.
