I thought that because MyBB has a local site their tests would be the most accurate. Thanks. :)

It just depends. If the server where the test sits is under strain or there is a network issue at the data centre it will affect the results. That why I don't like to rely on speedtest alone.

funny how the problems always happens after hours and over weekends when there is no one around at ah to fiddle

Depends on what the cause is. We also see higher usage in domestic areas, even though overall usage is less when businesses are offline. I think we've got to look at a case by case approach, rather than assuming it's all due to one possible change or issue.

Which test would you recommend to test the network?

Are there other tests than doing a speed test?

Generally speaking, a traceroute is another awesome diagnostic tool, and can help us identify where there are network or routing issues.

Are these statistics normal if I'm 1000km from Johannesburg?

Those results are okay, at the moment all AfriGreen users are connecting to the IPC in Jo'burg, which is less than ideal if you are in Cape Town or Durban. The important thing to note on that traceroute is that there are no spikes in latency.

When we start the full roll-out of AfriGreen, we'll be deploying IPC in the South and East specifically for those regions, which will improve your latency by quite a bit.

Thank you. I'm already getting good performance from AfriGreen. Additional IPC will only make it great. :)

People have been saying youtube working fine for them ... I cannot stream worth a damn.

Had telkom check my line today, they say it is perfect ... ... Had my line checked like 2 weeks ago, line was good enough to be bumped up to 20mbps (running smoothly @ 16mbs, not full 20 due to distance)

Speed tests look good, ping looks great ... ... cant stream worth a damn ...

WHY ???

:::EDIT:::

Tried VOX and WA and can stream 2 HD streams at the same time with little to no buffering ... so yeah ... wth ?

Shouldn't be any issues from our end.
Any special setup on your end around DNS or VPNs?

It's totally crap again tonight. Actually pretty unusable. I'll log a ticket, honestly don't know why I bother anymore. They don't even get answered at the best of times.

Yeah, YouTube sucking donkey gonads tonight.

Tried everything I could think of, switching between accounts, different DNS, etc nothing helping.
