Tonight I'm finally able to watch 1080p@60fps on YouTube on a 10MB ADSL line with NO buffering.
Go, AfriGreen! Woohoo!
Yes looking good (apart from the latency which I know is an issue the the southern regions) .
Solid, no packet loss even after an hour of play

Why are you shaping HTTPS VPN traffic ?
I don't use the HTTPS VPN to circumvent shaping for downloads, I use it for my work VPN (cisco any connect) for RDP, SSH , outlook etc ??
What data product do you have with us?
Unfortunately we can not single out certain clients that use certain protocols. If we were to unshape certain protocols on uncapped accounts, they might be taken advantage of.
However, realtime services are completely unshaped and this includes HTTPS. Could you give me a more pertinent example? Send me a PM if you would like to add more detail.![]()
Dear AfriFella
The I have PM'd the specific VPN servers and as discussed in the PM it is a corporate VPN product which runs over HTTPS called Cisco Anyconnect. Its a very common VPN amongst corporate companies and we simply cant use it for heavy downloading, company policy forbids and its blocked too via the VPN too.
Im on the 20mbps afrigreen home uncapped account.
Absolutely beautiful ... http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4663460672

Are they?
My Cisco Anyconnect address that I use to connect to a client is using port 443 so it shouldn't be shaped.
Afriman when will afrigreen be getting servers in the south?
We definitely shouldn't be shaping VPN as a realtime service. Just remember that we don't shape by port but by packet signature.
Is it still possible to see the signature in HTTPS ?
I don't have a date at the moment, but I believe we're already moving in that direction since it looks like AfriGreen is here to stay. Hopefully it will be quick. As soon as I have any info on that, I will share.
So we will not be given a chance to try AfriBlue?
I was under the impression that this exercise was all about comparing the two and then chose on the basis of comparable test results.

TBH it's why I'm holding off on green, and vanilla afrihost is still giving me major lag, packet loss and ping spikes on Battlefield 4. Sooner is better
