I had this issue yesterday as well, test show no issues, and I am not too sure if sending any tests helps anyway, as the issues just seem to get worse, or no one at Afrihost can replicate it, so the network has to be 100%

I have been having issues with Windows 10 and Windows update, still not fixed, and I reported this during the beta testing of Windows 10.

Not sure if you've read through both AfriMan's and my posts around this?

Download Speed: 3188 kbps (398.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 413 kbps (51.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 42 ms

Google play store also battling - can't update at a speed higher than 0.2 mbps.
 
So strange that these different sites are affected. How's the performance on Instagram?
Also, are these performance drops across multiple devices? What DNS servers are you using?

Was same yesterday for me and all others who posted last night too. So lots having the same problem. I don't have Instagram but on laptop if I click on someones image it's slow too, sometimes doesn't load and have to refresh for image to load.

Yeah phone and laptop. DNS automatic.

It all effectively started from last Friday night I think. When Afrigreen went completely dead for about 15 minutes, maybe more. Then it came back and after that there's been all these issues.

Hhhmm OK. Not sure if social is grouped into something specific on the network.

What posts, the testing procedure? If that is the case, how do I do a tracert for Windows Update?

We don't need to only see traceroutes, but we do need info on how to replicate it and what your experience is like.
I'm personally not aware of OS update issues, but that doesn't mean that it's working smoothly.

Please complete some diagnostics, either pasting them here or via ClientZone directly. Examples of this can be found on the first page.

I think it's very important to understand that in order for us to raise the issues with the necessary people to fix or investigate issues, we need to give them hard data. They will ask us for traceroutes, speedtests and usernames in order to take those issues forward. I can understand your POV here, but please understand that we're not using any kind of stalling tactics. This is really the best way we can act on the feedback you're giving us and hopefully improve your experience. We totally appreciate all the guys who co-operate with us in this regard, I am sure they can all attest to seeing real change when we work together in that way.

Well I have multiple Windows 10 computers and Windows Update will sit for hours just to download small updates, there is nothing I can test, all I know is it does not work as it should.

I see some emails has come through for more testing requests on this call, but this call has disappeared from the clientzone?

Will do the Diablo testing as requested on the mails tonight when I get home

Please submit this via ClientZone. Good info to include would be:

Account type
DSL username
DNS being used
Slow services

So if your OS updates are slow, maybe test some HTTP downloads as a comparison?
Every bit of info helps. It's really hard to troubleshoot off a "it's slow" :)

It may be that it's in a higher escalation queue - should re-appear shortly if that's the case.

Got two email replies this morning on the extra testing needed, will check a bit later if it has appeared again. Gonna brave JHB CBD traffic first now
