@ DonaldMickey, electrofreeze and fishfly
All I can say is that I wish your network experience improves.

Thanks.
Let's hope AH gets their finger out their arses and get this sorted once and for all.
I cannot and will not go through another situation like this again with them.
I am already investigating another isp.

I did the same, couldn't handle the streaming issues, even with DSTV now. New ISP and everything works as intended.

Larac I am in despatch to since AH moved to MTN as there main provider things went down hill from there I have over 20 accounts with them an sent them test and everything for more than 6 months already and nothing changed, I am waiting for my 50mb linkup from VOX then its goodbye for Telkom and AH.

Account type: 10Mbps Home Capped
Location: Despatch, Eastern Cape

Wondering ... difference then between capped and uncapped?
I running 8Mbps uncapped - Pietermaritzburg, KZN

3998ms latency GW2. This is insane.

At the time when Afrihost started using MTN infrastructure I experienced only authentication problems over PPPoE which they have fixed.
Although Afrihost is not my primary service provider I have been using AfriGreen constantly and my overall experience is very good. Did you test AfriGreen?

There seems to be a difference between the products. It is mostly business and uncapped customers who complain of poor service and slow download speeds.

I tested the IP's but PeerBlock stopped the second one.

The second one is the GW2 server, it changes. I'm on IP. 206.127.146.114 now.
Everything has become a lot better again, back at 250ms.

looks like business uncapped is now shaped with the normal uncapped users as ah has run out of ipc on red and green

Even 206.127.146.114 is blocked.

Sorry, 206.127.146.115

And a new one again. 206.127.159.249
Every time one changes the area, a different server.

Streaming on udemy.com is absolutely atrocious on both Afrihost Business and Afrigreen. Getting desperate here - if this doesn't improve it could ruin next week for me. I'll be buying a prepaid account on another ISP shortly I think.

I asked a friend on Crystal Web to check if Udemy streaming works for them and they said they were having no trouble at 1080p.
