Glad to witness this historic migration. MyBB speedtest just gave me 50.52Mbps on my 10Mbps line! Nearly fell off my chair. Can't replicate it though and speed back to a steady 8.73Mbps. Now if this can just be consistent.http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/images/smilies/smile.gif

Cannot stream @ 480p (permanent buffering) ... can almost get away with 240p ... ... Speeds down the ****ter ... P2P dead, steam dead ... ...


Is this really the miracle network we've waited months for ?

Morning guys

Just to clarify, we have not cut over yet. The interruptions yesterday we due to preparations being made for the cutover, like setting up DNS and SMTP.

Although we expect AfriGreen service to continue as normal, I'd like to ask that everyone please be patient as we manage the cutover (which will hopefully commence over the next few hours). We'd like to hope for no teething problems, but just in case, you are always free to login with your MTN account until we confirm on this thread that the migration is complete.
 
About a week or so ago AfriGenie and ArfiGuy was seemingly eager to review my interaction with AH ClientZone and requested me to PM them my details.

PM was sent, but ..........................................

It seems that either they are extremely busy, or elected not to deliver on their offer to review and comment :(

Interested to hear your feedback around ClientZone - could you PM me the details that we can work through?

If you look at my ping plotter tests on the three networks (Afrihost MTN, Afrigreen and WebAfrica) the intermittent latency spikes is not really on the international hops - it is all on the local hops.
This is exactly why I post the results across all three networks ........... yet the classical ClientZone response to me for the past two weeks is that the fault is on my home equipment :p

Yeah... That should definitely not have been the response that you received... Have you sent one us the ticket ID yet?

Static IP users on Afrigreen may not be able to access that feature for a while, during the migration. We'll restore access to static IP as soon as we possibly can on the new network.
 
Afrigreen has been performing absolutely disgustingly the past 3 days with timeouts slow page loads the works (Durban), XDSL business account worked fine so not my line.

Thx AfriMan - I did get a PM from AfriGuy yesterday afternoon, asking if I received a reply (and I responded with a "Nope - still waiting").

Note sure if the PM's thereafter failed to deliver from his mailbox (Forum PM's ofc - no E-mails received to date, except from mybb alerting me to PM's being delivered).

We should see AfriGreen users moved over the to the full production network. Prep has been underway since yesterday and the new network is now live and ready to accept users. We should be seeing a different performance from AfriGreen accounts within the next few hours :)
 
:( ... still not able to break the 3mbps speed test ... can someone tell me wtf is going on ...


I pray to god that this crap is fixed by the weekend ... First weekend off in ages and if my net is broken I'm going to be pissed
 
Thankfully I'm not at home but I'm super exited to take afrigreen for a spin when i get home.
I'm also gonna be super disappointed if it doesn't work.
