Durban should already be mostly moved over. If not fully, in terms of the IPC usage.

We are still finalising some final aspects that will deliver the full experience, but I think you should definitely be seeing better latency already. What difference are you seeing?

Great to hear thank you :) Looking forward to connecting later today.

So am I correct, on an Afrigreen account in Durban we are now fully on the new network and from here it is ongoing optimisation and tweaks?

ok so i got back home on my xbox and still experienced high input lag in online gaming.

i did a speed test to london with 196ms which is similar to vox and web , but online gaming input lag is a lot worse for some reason...

I'm not sure what you mean by input lag. Is this what you are experiencing in game? Can you see what your in game latency is?

You should be routing via the local Durban IPC, but there are still some background changes happening for best routing and caching. That should be mostly complete shortly - but it's fine tuning, the bulk of the work is done.

On my work Afrigreen account I'm only getting about half the speed, AfriX can you possible shed some light on this?

Twitch VODs are buffering even at "Medium", why does this happen but I'm able to live stream at "High"?

We haven't done any recent tests on Twitch, but the last I heard Twitch was performing excellently.

I'd suspect that's something to do with the stream - if you're rocking it on high quality, you're getting the right amount of bandwidth :(

That looks pretty bleak - you're on 4Mbps I presume. Can you drop me a PM?

I mean streaming has been excellent don't get me wrong :)
I guess it was just a blip because it's running smoothly now, will update you if things go awry.

input lag is how long it takes for a command to register. Basically we talking bout ping...

how do i see in game latency on XBOX ONE?

Afrigreen not performing as well today as the last few days.

Downloads slightly bit slower today. Browsing while downloading (issue that I was having before) is now back too. Can't stream videos on Facebook, Vimeo or youtube while download is running.

Edit*

Just tried watching video on vimeo with no download running and I can't even watch video without pausing it and letting it buffer. A 2minute video has taken me 15 minutes to watch.

Traceroute and speed tests all look fine though.

I have no Internet connection at all, using my mobile to send this message :(

I have only now been able to connect to the internet on my PC, nothing has been said as to what happened during this time.
Afrihost I would like to know what happened.:wtf:

No problems for me. Downloaded a large Steam update not an hour ago and it seldom dropped below 1MB/s. Browsing fine, Youtube fine etc.

Having an excellent internet day today, thanks to the dumb protests I am stuck at home all day.
Getting about 170ms latency LoL EuW, downloaded Smite updates at full speed. Good day so far on Afrihost.

Yay, my international ping dropped by about 20+ ms... now just under 200ms to an Amsterdam server.

No problem my end as well. Ping to Cape town is excellent. :)
