Request is now with the fibre team, but here is my WA conversation from this morning:

Thank you for your response. I am handling the escalation personally and will get it sorted. I am also sorry about the miscommunication from the whatsApp support, I have made sure the teams are aware of the package and sent comms again.

Still no 1Gbps fibre? Why not? wat's taking so long for the service? other ISP's have launched it already... Why is Afrihost busy sleeping??
Hi Edd. Thank you for reaching out to us. We do have the package available however it is not on our website as is subject to availability as rollout of all areas continues. The package is available to new sign ups and existing clients and upgrades are permitted for existing clients. Please note the package is available ONLY upon request, subject to availability in the area.

Thanks for your response and attachment Grant. Got it, I see the speed-test results are on point so you're right throughput is not the issue.

I do not think it's the browser. I am suspecting this is an IP issue, we often have this problem with ipv6 address when streaming on YouTube/ Disney/ DSTV stream. Please try to switch off ipv6 on your router settings so that your connection is only running ipv4.
IPv6 would have been great, but I've never ever been able to get IPv6 working on my Mikrotik with Frogfoot.

In the past, I've provided a TCP dump where it's clear the Mikrotik asks for IPv6 delegation (or whatever it does), but there is just never a response back.

So as now, I can 100% confirm that I'm only using IPv4. I do however, have a Public IP address, and not behind any CGNAT (should that be on any reasonable information to know)

@Afrigirl MFN down in Pta east
Hi Jinxy. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, Afrigirl is currently on leave, I can help. I do not see any outage on our status page, it may have been resolved quickly or was a temporary issue in the area, I also checked on the Metrofibre system to make sure. If your line is still down please send me a DM with your account details so that In can investigate and get it sorted for you urgently.

That Ipv6 IP is not from Afrihost. It's an oracle IP so you are likely using a VPN?
Nope, not using a VPN at all. Was connecting directly over WiFi using my MacBook and Safari, with only my router and ONT, but I’ll double check nothing strange is set on my router. It seems to have gotten better though.

EDIT: As far as I know I don’t have IPv6 enabled on my service, and it’s not enabled on my router. In response to @defsec 's comment with what he sees, I'm not using any other DNS, just to automatic standard Afrihost DNS.

Hi William. I am really sorry to hear that, If your speedtest results are fine and eveything else works as well I suspect it's an IP issue. Let's see if we can't fix it. Can you please try to switch off ipv6 on your router settings so that your connection is only running ipv4.
I only run IPv4 but turned it on temporarily and I saw no visible difference
