Afrihost Rain LTE data disappearing

Over the last two days I have noticed that my Rain LTE data has been disappearing despite none of my devices using any data. This morning I topped up with 10GB only to have the data disappear within 10 minutes. After calling Afrihost, they admitted to a system error on their side and promised to reverse this but nothing has happened as yet.

Anyone else experiencing similar issues? It seems rather strange that the data would simply vanish.

Yes i have, one of the reason i left them

On one evening, 70gigs were used but no one was at home...in the morning I loaded 10gig and it disappeared immedaitely
And after i loaded another 10gig, 7gigs were immediately used up.

So whatever glitch they had, or someone used up almost 90gigs...since i only had 70gigs left....whatever i loaded immediately depleted.

Afrihost or Rain were not able to get me a detailed log...I live on a plot so there's no one around...all I wanted to see was if the logs can show when the data was used? I usually get less than 8Mbps so I couldve easily calculated usage if there were logs.

This happened on Telkom once...when i had a telkom router that was only capable of 3G and it showed I used up 20gigs in 30min (like a decade ago) and luckily the logs shows that this could not have happened on a 384kb max device.
I eventually convinced Telkom and got refunded, a gig was like R150 or something crazy back then.

Anyways, not sure if Rain can provide the logs now, but its best to ask them for it...and do a calculation.
8Mbps = 1MBps

That's not good to hear at all! :( We definitely do take these issues very seriously. Can you please send me a PM with your account details so that I can follow-up on this for you.

Had the same issues... Data is disappearing...
RAIN LTE ON AFRIHOST has been disappointing. Support is non existent and it doesn't work as it should. An adsl line is probably my best option...

I’m seeing the same thing lately- came here to see if I was imagining things. Maybe I’m not. Will contact them through the clientzone

It's not only that data disappears although I did look everywhere and could not find it!!. Afrihost don't take support calls most of the time, and then I am finding more and more that I have up time issues which I didn't have before. I am so over Afrihost, waiting for November so I can get out of the contract

Hi guys.
I am having the same issues. Everytine i called they put me on hold sometimes up to 30 minutes at a time. No logs, and when I topped up with another 20 gigs it also disappeared in a matter of hours
I think we should make a formal list
Please let us not just take it in the butt

i had my top-up data disappeared as well just now, there are 6G until 27/June, but now only show monthly data, and consuming it.

Same with WebAfrica on cell c sim, Last weekend I started to notice the same, I went & blocked all traffic on my network apart from my own machine. Throughout the week I monitored my usage, having 5% top up left I got disconnected for reaching my cap this happened throughout the week. I would top up with 10GB & download a 100mb then get disconnected for reaching my cap. Today I let it run out completely & topped up another 10GB which is now standing at about 8GB used in last 2 hours even though my router states 201mb used. They also state that with a new month your data with least amount of time will be used 1st. This was not my case they immediately started using my monthly data & after that they used the top up...

Am i correct in understanding now that Rain data carries over for 1 month ? With Afrihost, thought with this whole new data thing it was not allowed to expire at all ?
