afrihost server blacklisted

Hi all.

Is the afrihost server upchuck.aserv.co.za a shared email server or are there "instances" of it for each hosted domain?

We're having difficulty sending out email and the ip that comes back when searching for blacklist by domain resolves to above host name.

I'm not shocked. They wouldnt know how to host if you send them a presetup server via courier yourself.

That being said, never rely on an ISP email server (they definitely not a host anymore). I'd recommend relaying your mail through actual hosts who care about email/delivery blacklisting etc.

a few people with a virus can spoil a shared email server very quickly.

I would recommend that one avoid using any ISP's shared SMTP server and rather use a service like sendgrid.
