This sucks. Only downloaded 17.85Gb so far this month and I am shaped 18.8%, 6.25%. Unacceptable. Seems the North don't have enough bandwidth for their users. Afrihost must urgently address this.

It's got nothing to do with how much you downloaded, I'm on less than 4Gb and I'm also shaped - They don't seem to have enough capacity.

If you guys had a choice, which would you take:
4mb shaped or 2mb unshaped?

I am going the 2MB unshapped. I am not sure about the video quality from Netflix and Hulu though, i would like to keep the 720 or 1080p quality, even if it means an extra R200

4Mb shaped for streaming HD content, 2Mb unshaped for downloading. Although last night I was streaming Hulu plus on my 2Mb shaped and the quality went to HD for quite a while.

AfriGuy said yesterday that the ETA is still unknown. Telkom ' s network freeze is still active though, so it won't be before mid-January.

Should be possible, but will most likely load a while beforehand. I only use auto quality.

We don't have an ETA from Telkom. We put major pressure on them (via MTN) to get the provisional delivery, so we'll have to give them some time to sort us out. Remember they probably only just lifted the network freeze (if it has been lifted already) so their current priority is completing line upgrades as scheduled. But we're doing what we can to get things moving as quickly as possible
