Afrihost slashes uncapped ADSL package and bundle prices

Has it dawned on anyone that possibly Sollie's email addy which I assume was on a "do not contact list", by mistake was emailed? He has by own admission admitted he had dealings with Afrihost, and thats where they would have his address from. and that, plus the fact that there is an opt-out option, adheres to the the ECT act, which ISPA, and it's members adhere to.
Good luck Solly. please, please let us know the outcome of this. I need another good laugh before the end of this month

Hi There

i would love to know why we still pay ridiculous prices for adsl, the adsl lines is not great due to the upload speed.

a Fibre line 50/50 cost +-R1000 and 20/20 around R599

here we sit with a 4/0.5 at R597 + 200 for telkom

Even wireless is cheaper than adsl with better speed, better latency.

#ADSLPRICEMUSTFALL LOL

But can you get fiber?

Sounds like 24/7 stuff is more suited to Premium or Business Uncapped :)
why would that be? uncapped is uncapped yet y is the lower packages throttled? is it because all isp oversell ?

o ? so i can't set my downloads and leave my pc to dl them? point is all isp cannot support uncapped, they just don't have the capacity.

I mean, uncapped is not meant for your line to be saturated 24/7. Imagine if everyone did that - contention would go through the roof then so would the price.
