Afrihost Slow Speed??

Hi Guys

Really slow speed from AH this morning....anyone else.

Test conducted on 29 September 2011 09:24:56

Download Speed: 1804 kbps (225.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

Upload Speed: 400 kbps (50 KB/sec transfer rate)

Latency: 242 ms
 
Yes. Same problem here. Also had slow speeds all weekend.

International on Axxess has been crawling the past 24 hours or so.

This problem seems to be still going on. Only getting half the line speed while streaming off Youtube :(
 
Is this still a problem? I've been trying Afrihost, Axxess and WebAfrica on the weekend. They were all slow. This morning WebAfrica kept dropping my international downloads, but managed to download the same thing from a local server instead.
 
I am having speed issues on intl here in Durban today. I wonder if the rain has caused some issues for the network?
 
Same here. Slow speed on afrihost in capetown. 2mb line. Hardly getting 512.
 
Same here, been having problems since Friday. 1024kb line speeds and I can't even reach 40kb/s on a normal HTTP download!

I'm getting quite irate! I sent them an email and I was told my account was being "managed" on an hour-by-hour basis, fair enough. So I haven't used my account since Sunday and I am still experiencing issues, now you can't tell me it's because of high usage, it's the fourth of the month and I've only used a few hundred megabytes

Problems continue and first usage of the day. Yay! :confused:
 
Been having problems all week. Some sites worked and some didn't at all. Was down for a few minutes earlier as well.
 
There's definitely a problem. Some of the web pages do not render properly when you open it. This has been the case for almost a week.
 
I have a 3GB AH account and I must say, not a days problems!
 


But my downloads dont go past the 10KB/s ???? Damn seacom cable
