Very heavy shaping at the moment due to high demand, they have ordered extra IPC capacity which should be available in the new year (the interim capacity they got helps, but seemingly not THAT much, unfortunately).I am on a 4mbps uncapped package, line is capable to 10mbps, I have never seen speeds faster than 2.5 mbps. Is this normal, my shaping is 18.8% download and 6.2% psp
I am using them and I get super fast downloads. If I queue 25Gb to download at 10PM the next morning when I get up they are done - every single time. It could be local IPC congestion though - I live in Sandton.
I'm jealous. Queue'd about 50Gbs of stuff a week ago on torrents which is well seeded, only about a quarter of it is done. I'm switching ISP's at the end of this month. Mweb at R540 is much better value for downloaders than Afrihost at R400.

And again, please switch to the throttlers and let us know what extreme pron feels like!
With the current shaping, if you like to download, a 1Mbps business account will be better. Back when there wasn't much shaping on AH home uncapped I averaged 200GB on my 1Mbps line[/QUOTE]How would a 1 mb Business account compare with 4mb uncapped, I average around 170gb per month
