Afrihost terrible latency issues local and intenational

So jamming some online gaming and suddenly the latency spikes to 450+, at the same time one of my mates i was playing with (also on afri) had the same issue.

Just want to find out if there is a problem on the network and if anyone else is having this problem?

I just restarted my router and firewall thinking it had an issue. Terrible lag while playing Ghosts online now.

And we are about to have a clan match now

Got some awesome news. Looks like the work on the network last night was to add additional IPC to the North network. We're seeing a significant improvement in shaping compared to what we've seen of late

I'd still like to encourage everyone to use late night off-peak hours for torrents and downloads. It would be great if we can really make the most of this new capacity so that everyone gets there fair share.

I am on a 10 mpbs business uncapped and getting terrible latency on BF3 today - spikes of over 400. Usually played with ping ranging from 15 - 25. Totally unplayable.

See the bolded pings, those should be around 13ms MAX. You'll have to report a line fault with telkom/afrihost

Afrihost has been fine for me and the only time my game lagged was when server had problems.
