Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback (Pt2)

Ok so now my browsing is affected! Takes a minute to open a page!!!!!!!!! speed tests still all over the place... in fact... I'm down to 3 mbps! what is going on???
 
And we are back to under 2 mbps after they "fixed" my line this morning by syncing it at 8 mbps. I pay for a premium service but I am getting nothing but hassle... I am seriously getting fed up... given Afrihost the benefit of the doubt over and over again.
 
I hope the wonderfull afrihost people are enjoying the companies 13th birthday (thats the msg I got, informing me the 24/7 call centre is closed because it is their 13th birthday) while I have totally crappy internet... 720p youtube on a 10mbps line buffers like crazy, downloads are impossible and browsing is a pain... all this after my line was "fixed" this morning... I will start browsing for a new isp tomorrow unless something gets sorted out ASAP!!!
 
Afriman, I was just spammed on port 25 on my network. My Private SMTP server got 48000 random messages in the space of 3 minutes. I have no idea how?

I need to check why it is allowing unauthorised access
 
I think I'm going to start shopping around for another ISP. The below performance seems to be the new norm for my connection, which is far below the 4Mbps I subscribe to. What concerns me more than the actual problem is the complete lack of acknowledgement of it. Website says the network is fully operational and while I don't read every single post by Afri*, in the ones I have read I don't really see any indication that they admit there is a problem. If I look at my traceroutes, I see that the traffic makes it onto the MTN network ok, and then all hell breaks loose ... 1000+ ms pings? And this is while my account isn't being shaped...

Gian , look at this feedback forum, and count the amount of people who are unhappy, and tell me your network is 100% ??

shaping is one thing, I can live with that up to a point, but pages timing out, youtube videos failing, gaming disconnects and serious lags... not cool

Afriman, is the network having flaws?? In Hillcrest side, pings are very high and getting max 64 Kbps on 1 Mb uncapped line, i posted am attachment of the speed test. Please inform us to what is going on lately?
 
So, it's heading for 9pm on a Sunday and, after 75/75 shaping kicking in yesterday morning - and remaining since - that's now changed to 50/50. Half line-speed. At 9pm. On a Sunday.

AfriFolk... clarify how the situation's improving, if you would please...?
 
Netflix stuck again tonight. Doesn't even want to start buffering. Sigh.
How are the capped accounts? Any better?

EDIT: The only way I could watch Netflix tonight was with my MWeb account. Afrihost capped account didn't want to work either.
