International Speeds as poor as the last two weeks :( What's the latest, Afriman? I have another Test Account given to me that I'll be trying later on.

Just snipping the email I sent to Critical Care to share, for those who are also affected by this and want to be kept in the loop.

Tracert to show no congestion at my exchange.

Special Unshaped Account INTERNATIONAL (erratic, but still excellent):

http://speedtest.ookla.com/result/2260509055.png (average)
http://speedtest.ookla.com/result/2260510301.png (brilliant)

So, from the above (and all my speedtests I've provided lately), International Bandwidth on my Afrihost Account is poor.

Edit:

... now this is fun. Signed up for a free 1GB account, surpised by the results:

International Free Capped Account (excellent): http://speedtest.ookla.com/result/2260538400.png
Ran a few International Ones to make sure it wasn't a fluke: http://speedtest.ookla.com/result/2260539954.png

So - that's that. Uncapped Accounts (mine, at least) are having International Bandwidth (HTTP browsing included) shaped :/

Tracert Dr.?

I'm in Durbanville (also a known problem area) and my 2mb line is running great. All happiness this side.

Lucky.

This has been my 4Mb line for almost 2 days.

AH manages my line and have logged a fault with Telkom. Haven't gotten any feedback.

On Business Uncapped I would like to bundle my line and uncapped package to make some savings. How do I do this?

The Pros are afaik - Make savings, single point of contact for support
What are the Cons?

Can someone tell me the business accounts, does it come with a router included or can you use your own?

You can just add your ADSL line to your Client Zone, and we'll have it transferred over and Bundled for you :)
Can't really think of any cons, it's all fairly awesome.

Our Business accounts don't come with a router, but you can use your own or purchase one from us.

I feel stupid for asking this but where? :) I have been looking for quite some time

AfriMan,

I tried getting an answer from live support regarding my query but there seems to be some miscommunication between the support agent and I. :p

Currently, I'm subscribed to a 4mbps Uncapped bundle, and would like to upgrade my speed to 10mbps, but also keep the bundle. Tech support told me that if I change the package in the client zone, it would cancel the bundle??

A few minutes later, he told me that I can indeed simply select the 10mbps Uncapped option from the client zone without cancelling the bundle. Not sure how if support was just tired at this hour, but the info he gave me is a little confusing. :erm: How do I go about upgrading my bundle speed?

Thanks mate!

You mean on home uncapped? Just select upgrade/change package in the clientzone and select the 10mb uncapped bundle. It's the R897 one I believe and includes a 10mb account and 10mb line rental.

----

If you select Add service, it'll give you the new bundle without cancelling the old (4mb) one. If you select Upgrade/change, it'll change your 4mb bundle to a 10mb one.

Unfortunately that's completely consistent with what I'm experiencing - except my international speeds are much, much worse than yours.

If you are changing within the same product category, then you can just change the product within the bundle without any issues. You still get billed a pro-rata amount on the new data price.

If you want to move from 4Mbps Uncapped to say 10Mbps Business, then you'll need to unbundle, upgrade and then rebundle. This is mostly because the discounts are calculated differently and the bundle are not interchangeable.
