Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback (Pt2)

I am also still waiting on any kind of feedback with regards to my problem... Last night when i got home i had great speed tests and games were running fine, then come 10 pm and everything went to **** again. Had to switch off my ps as it was just useless to even attempt any kind of gaming.

I am getting slightly tired of having to chase people for feedback. I understand you are all extremely busy and I understand that all too well but no feedback for two weeks? besides you asking me by pm whether i received your last pm. To which I replied and said no. That was followed by? nothing.

Not at all :( Just a bit snowed under at the moment.

We can only keep testing with you and hopefully find the issue here. From our side we're not applying anything that we can find. The next step will be for us to connect with your account at the times you're experiencing this issue and see if it occurring.

Will chat to the Critical Care team member dealing with this about it :(

Just a short status report:

Telkom upgraded me to 10MB, line syncs stable on 8.
Took 1 day test account from TI (thx TelkomZA), decided the pings were too bad.
Wanted to stick with AH coz of far superior network 'n stuff.
Switched line over to AH on a 10MB uncapped account.
AH told me the switch might take up to 2 weeks or so ... next day the switchover was complete.

Experiencing pure interwebz bliss since then. Swoooosh!:D

Those are some pretty mean turn around times if I don't say so myself ;)

That is fine if you are waiting for telkom to get back to you but how about keeping me (the client) informed?

The last time I had to chase afrihost for feedback as well and only when i sent an email to Kyle did I get a response saying that apparently the issue was closed by telkom and that he opened a ticket for it again. Then after that radio silence again! (This was on the 6th of November)

I am tired of having to ask for feedback constantly, if i did not ask the previous time then I still would have heard nothing and the issue would not have been opened again. Who knows maybe telkom cleared it again.

I have not been able to use my 10mbps line for the reasons i got it for two weeks now! this is unacceptable! people can game on 1 meg lines, i can't on a 10mbps!!!!

I completely agree with you, we do need to keep you up to date.
I can tell you that we've already escalated this with Telkom for you and are awaiting further feedback - it's also with our Specialist team. Let's see if they have any more feedback for you.
 
Hallo just need to ask, is the new prices for the dsl lines inaffect yet, cause I received an invoice this morning for rental of a 10 MB line, although I can only achieve maxium 4MB, surely I shouldnt be paying 399 but 279 right?

Bloody horrible...and everything is on sale....160 kbps on a 10 mbps line....I didnt even do that much this month....Battlefield 4 is 24 Gb, which should be fairly quick on a 10 mbps line.....oooh wait....

Maybe you should push for feedback from Telkom instead of just waiting around!

The last time Afrihost just waited around they cleared the fault and Kyle had to re issue it and you say now escalate it.

I am extremely unhappy and I feel that I have WASTED my money on a product which I can NOT use for the reasons I got it! (being mainly trouble free gaming!)

I plan on voicing my disappointment and disapproval until this get's to someone who can actually help sort this issue out!

I honestly feel cheated!

Two weeks of this is too long! and that is not counting the separate issue I had before this (At least then I could still game even though my speeds were low!). Neither times Youtube would really play properly on anything besides 360p while I see people with 4mbps lines being able to stream HD (this SERIOUSLY aggravates me!

I have been patient and I have been quiet as I believe it is not necessary to make a mountain from a mole hill but after having to chase people only for feedback never mind an actual solution. Well, let's just say that I have had enough of it and will now go out of my way to get this sorted. Or at least get the attention of someone who can sort it out.
