@AfriMan what is the turnaround time if you want to move your adsl line to Afrihost
It can take up to 14 days for an active DSL line to move over to us. It's generally faster than that these days, but it's pretty much up to Telkom

soooo it is time for me to moan again. For the last month i have been getting no more than 6mbps....Local seems fine, getting 8mbps at least, but international is 5 or less, 6 mbps if I am lucky. Please do not tell me "this is a best effort service and you cannot be gauranteed the full line speed" because I used to get the speed I am paying for...
We may have had some excessive usage on the network, but this was at local IPC level, and our international links were performing very well. It may well be that IPC demand may have caused limited access, but that would affect local as well as overseas traffic.
Are we talking about downloads here? Speedtests? Direct pings to servers?

Great point! I think EA will probably allow caching and resumed downloads, which Apple do not. So many people with failed downloads had to start all over again. Also doubt that the number of people downloading vs purchasing in store with be as much.
If demand is high, we'll have to shape accordingly - but we're confident it won't get to critical level
