Shaping is very lenient at the moment from what I can tell. Everyone except the very heaviest users should have started to see shaping drop by the latest aroind 1am last night.

We are seeing a rise in usage. which is a little more than usual for a Saturday (especially with many taking the long weekend off) but still within acceptable levels, and shaping is very light (if any) for the moment :)

Latencies are looking great from our testing as well :)

?

The Account Overview dashboard says 75% Download shaping; but it is more like 30%! When do you anticipate the complete removal of shaping or a return to normal?

Also, on Afrihost's home page you have 'network fully operational' and further down it is gleefully stated that 'All systems are performing within specified parameters' surely this grand throttling/shaping should have posted as a problem?

If you're not getting stats similar to what clientzone says, then there may be other issues at play. As far as I know we're running on normal network shaping. Usage is starting to peak again, but were still shaping fairly lightly.

Thanks Afriman.

I just checked and it states no shaping and that is what I'm experiencing for now at least. :)

I would suggest an update the to the Network Status dashboard on your website as this was a problem.

We did have one up yesterday, but last night's issue was very brief and not really an issue we weren't aware of. If we couldn't resolve it quickly we would definitely have done so.

Ai, here we goooo...

Shaping Policy: 25% Download/ 12.5% P2P

How much longer is this gonna last for?

Hey, just noticed that I'm almost at 3,000 posts.

Whoever takes screenshot of my 3,000th post and reposts it in this thread first will be well rewarded - Afriman style ;)

Seeing a few intermittent spikes there. Hard to tell if that is from our network or not.

As far as I can see the network is running smoothly, although we're shaping more than we'd normally like to on a Saturday.

Drop me a PM, let's get some tests going :(

Shaped again!

50% Download/ 50% P2P

When will this monkey get off our backs?

They don't throttle, only shape. Go to the client zone, click on connectivity, then click on your account on the right. It will tell you if your line is being shaped.

I can't find this information, where should it tell me whether I'm being shaped?
