Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback (Pt2)

Not funny!

So the strategy actually worked and I upgraded to 1Mbps Business account, but funny enough, p2p isn't a kb faster, it's actually slower. Downloading a rate of 5kbps now. SERIOUSLY?

What did I just pay for?!?

Our radius servers and shapers need to recognise the change, let's give it a bit to adjust to the new policies.
 
All very well and good telling people to upgrade to a Business uncapped account but for 10MB users that's R400 more per month!
 
I am sorry but I do not think AfriHost is for me anymore. No more updates on any progress, just your realtime speeds should be fine. Do you not understand that some of us actually need to download stuff during the day? And yes, there is the Turbo charge jobby, but after that? Then we should just accept that we must slug along at whatever speeds we get? No screw this man!! I think my money will be better spent elsewhere. Off to other ISPs to see if they work better.

Also, i do not think we have been unreasonable here. We have waited 2 weeks now, and so far we have not had any indication that this will get any better. If one of my client's had to deal with this same **** they would have moved on long ago.. Anywho.. Cheers

Can't afford to pay for ANOTHER ISP account this month but come the 24th I am out of here. Been a dedicated AH customer for 4 years now but this is too much. It's not that there is a problem, it is the initial denial then being treated like idiots in the hope that eventually we will just stop complaining.
AH, since I just signed up with you for uncapped, how do I get my double money back?

Yep come 24th I'm outa here and taking all 10 my buddies that I mislead with me.

I don't think we've suggested/ pushed this onto anyone. It's just another account option that available :)

I'm really sorry about the lack of updates, we're pushing for as much feedback as we possibly can. I promise, if we had updated feedback it would be posted here.
 
AfriMan, shoot this idea at your product guys.

Say you have a 10Mb home uncapped and need to download a new game that's 30+ GB's but you've had a heavy use month and you're being shaped so that it will take days to complete, allow the user to purchase X amount hours of unshaped data

I'm sorry that you're considering leaving us :( The intention on this thread was never ever to deny anything, since the initial iOS traffic spike we where the first to admit the network was seeing higher load than normal.

We're doing everything we can to try and ease the shaping as much as possible.
 
First GTA.....then Apple....It's prob BF4 now LOL....

glad i cancelled....also shaped on openweb but at least getting 100KB/s on 2Mb line....and full speed after hours....
