Surely those should all be exactly the same?

This all started with the IPC issues 2 weeks ago, and the problems havnt gone away. Please guys, there must be something wrong with the uncapped account. If it were my exchange, my capped account would not run at full speed. I dont know what other tests to do :(

I've follow up with AfriMan - I think he was checkin out things on your account.

Thanks Afriguy. Sorry, my grammar was completely destroyed while moving around words :D

My issue us not so much about the shaping, as I will get this from all ISP's.

Question is will Afrihost drop prices in future to be in line with opposition?

Shaping is set to ease, it's already easing earlier during the late evening/ early morning. By no means ideal, but when the rest of our capacity is live we should see shaping ease even more for the majority of our clients.

Hope you make the best choice :)

Just signed up my Afrihost 1MB account.
Why do i not see options to move line management to you guys ?

Awesome, welcome aboard :)
You can add your line via the old ClientZone - we'll transfer it from there.

Sorry that we've let you down :(
We're passing on all of the saving that Telkom have passed on.

So to be clear on this......Telkom did not pass on all the same savings to wholesale as retail. Is that what you're saying. Because after my upgrade to 4Mb went horribly wrong I can no longer trust Afrihost to manage my line. I have not received one phone call, or email or anything. Might as well have done it myself.

Telkom simply responded sorry no 4Mb too far from the exchange, and that's that, although their website says 4Mb available and the attentuation etc supports that fact. Would have expected Afrihost to use some clout....

I'm really not 100% on the price reductions on the wholesale side.
I'd like to check out what happened on the 4Mbps upgrade on our side, sorry to hear that we've let you down :(

Actually you can look at it the other way - the 2Mbps bundle has come down from R497 to R397. If you currently have a 1Mbps bundle you can still have it at R297 (for existing clients who are on that package). We may consider still allowing new signups for the 1Mbps data packages for a limited time - we're still looking into that. It would be for data only - not line rental.

Okay, was worried I might be "forced" to upgrade to a 2Mbps bundle and pay R100 more. Glad to see I can keep my current bundle until I can afford to upgrade, thanks Afriman. :)
