Hi Afriman, I'm on a 1mb uncapped bundle and my telkom line has been upgraded by telkom to 2mb. When can I expect to be upgraded to the 2 mb bundle. You mentioned we must wait for communication from afrihost on the matter. Haven't recieved anything yet.

Must we call in and upgrade and wait for the communication? Remember this is sepcifically for us 1mb uncapped users who are going to be automatically upgraded to 2mb uncapped.

Thanks.

You're more than welcome to upgrade via the ClientZone :)

You'll need to upgrade/ downgrade for the new pricing to take an affect.
Eh???I was on 2mb, I'm still on 2mb. To what must I upgrade/downgrade so that I get billed the amount thats quoted on your website? R397 2mb Uncapped dsl bundle????.

Hi AfriMan
Since yeterday when I joined AfriHost to see if it ISP problem or not.

Strange but true this morning after six downloads were again full speed. I was logged on OW account. Have not tried AfriHost account.

Have not done anything to my setup.
Below is yesterday info?
Sorry to hear this From the results you've provided, it looks there are some fairly consistent exchange issues.
When do you notice these issues?

I can't remember the last time my account was shaped :D I'm lovin' it :)

Hallo just need to ask, is the new prices for the dsl lines in affect yet cause I received an invoice for rental of a 10 MB line, although I can only achieve maximum 4MB, surely I shouldn't be paying 399 but 279 right as stated on your website?

The 2Mbps lines are being upgraded to 4Mbps, so you'll need to upgrade to that :)

Ok, so do we have to upgrade and then downgrade immediately? Also, will the system allow you to do this? You guys are really vague on this issue and a little help would be appreciated. Do you have to unbundle?? What do we have to do?

Also, I just got my line stable. I do not really want to touch it. Can you not just adjust the billing? It really is a pain to have to upgrade, downgrade etc...

But I want to stay on 2Mbps......I'll ask again... what must I do to be charged the quoted price R397 for 2Mb uncapped, instead of the R497 I was charged for December? New members are being charged the updated pricing yet existing customers get shafted?

You need to upgrade, as Telkom are in the process of upgrading the line speeds.

Very vague yes.

In my case my line is now a solid 10mb, but my Dslam is limited to 4. So I need to downgrade to a 4mb line. However I see no such option in the client zone. Only 2mb.

A guide would be very much appreciated here as just going from the menus in the clientzone this is a convoluted process.

Ok, but I do not want to upgrade. I want to stay on the 4mb business line just as it is currently!! What do I have to upgrade to? How does this process work. Maybe I should reverse the payment and manually only pay you R797? Will that help?!!

My line was already upgraded and set to the fastest available speed (6mb). So I do not want to change a thing..

Does anyone know the aprox data usage a standard 4mb will get me before i get limited? Aswell as gaming wise how are ports handled for PSN?

Im really considering Afrihost to take my line+4mb business but iv got a few finances to sort out for that firstly...

Your line will never get limited on the business account, so you can download as much as you want. Same goes for PSN. Latency is extremely good for me, and seeing great speeds.

Let me check and try see what I pay monthly for my line rental I think it will work out nearly the same as the data from Mweb and the line from Telkom as the bundle for business 4mb then I'm jumping on straight away

Yes and in the meantime I am paying for a upto 10 Mb line instead of a solid 4MB at the reduced price

Yep, with no clear replies. Making me a bit irritated. How do I change my payment method btw?

I think I prefer paying them myself. Then I can pay them what I really should be paying. Not R100 more for nothing..

Hi Afriguy.

Telkom upgraded my line to 2mb (according to adsl checker), but on my uncapped bundle I am still syncing at 1mb. I have upgraded to 2mb on Clientzone. Is there anything else I should do to sync at 2mb?
