It's scary how quiet this thread has become. In this case, no news (read: complaints) is always good news![]()

Don't you just love irony :/aaaand back to 20KB/s on 10Mb trying to download a doc from Microsoft's site.
Awesome! Just seeing the positive comments here is thanks enough![]()
Funny, I have no shapping today. And I am doing P2P download during a week day for the first time since I signed up for this account. Afriman, does this mean that you have bought more capacity? is it going to be like this for a whille?
Jhb has got the new capacity![]()

Yes please enlighten us Zertop
Well they may have new capacity, however, we are located in Craighall Park and the service has been abysmal for the last 2-3 weeks, and we run a Guest House business that needs internet and Afrihost are supposed to manage the telkom line.......or so they say...... We have spent numerous hours trying to get through and have done so many tracert and speed tests it is ridiculous. Personally we would not recommend their service to anyone.
The ping tests are about 2400 on average and a speed of about 0.4mbs DL and the same for UL.
The worst thing is they say they will sort it out and nothing happens. Plus when you try and get hold of them it is " you are number 20 in line and it will take about 30 min before you get a representative" and when you do get hold of them, they ask for you to do another Tracert and speed test.
Come on guys....get your act together ... you are worse than Telkom. To resolve the Afrihost bad service we are now having to use Telkom 3g.
The last time we tried to talk to them, at 13:45 , and asked to speak to a supervisor, we got put on hold and that was that. They have our phone number and do not even bother to get back to us.
The last ticket number is VYG-965-78498
So I have jumped ship from TI to Afrihost.
My uncapped account:

The same discrepancy on the international side?
Why am I getting 1 Mbps less on uncapped?

I replied to your PM on this.
There is no response from the exchange or requests just time out, so this is definitely a Telkom problem on the exchange itself. We've already logged a fault but I would be very surprised if Telkom don't know about it already from their monitoring reports![]()
