Just FYI, no torrenting, just streaming. Maybe Afrihost is just shaping people who download a lot? Just speculating.

That's the idea, but I've done far less. 50GB, and I've got 25% Download/ 6.5% P2P.

East IPC reporting in, all's fine here. Let's hope this lasts the whole week.
Been downloading quite a lot since Friday, around about 44GB.

Went over to a capped account because of "no shaping, ever". This after I mailed them repeatedly earlier and asked about slow uncapped speeds. And they then tried to blame it on my usage (less than 50gb a month) instead of saying, sorry, IPC upgrades never happened as planned, Telkom is a bad person.
My guess, seems holiday is killing all capacity. Which is odd, because I chose a bigger capped account because I knew I was going to be home more to download. Which I now can't because speeds are slow.
Long story short. On Capped, Being Shaped. Unhappy. 2/10 rating.

Ok my streaming took a knock from 8pm, 22min episode now takes me 40 minutes to watch. 
Hopefully there's just something wrong with the network at present and it hasn't been fixed because the technicians aren't at work. Perhaps part of the "tweaking" AfriMan mentioned. I'd hate to think this is what we can come to expect as the norm post-upgrade.

Am having same problem in CapeTown. This is not new though despite no throttling/shaping guarantee have been experiencing this for months. Mornings thing stream great but from about 2.00pm things really slow down and from 7.00pm to about11.00pm don't even bother. Have 10Mbps account but sofar this month have only managed 36Gb. My 50Gb capped account was doubled to 100Gb but not much benefit as would have to be at computer 24/7 to stream the few programs I watch. I, like many others, make up the silent majority who have been patiently loyal to AH hoping that the old glory will be restored. Am losing patience now!
Yeah in the end I downgraded my uncapped from 10mbps down to 4mbps, because with this level of shaping, paying top dollar for the 10mbps is so not worth it anymore.
