this is on a 10mb line with 12.5% shaping

What is the process I need to use to cancel uncapped, activate capped for next month and not lose the 'bundled' line?

With the new bundle system, you just have to do a product change from Uncapped to Capped. As long as it's a supported bundle product, you'll stay in bundle. Just remember that pro-rata is calculated on the full value product, not the bundled rate.

Very nice. My own testing also shows that YouTube is pretty solid. We're running more test now into Hulu and Netflix so that we can know exactly what our clients are experiencing and where we can improve their experience.

Regarding Unotelly please also state the current dns used from where etc and which one you found that worked best (not sure if I got that right, this Afrikaans brain sometimes struggles to get it right in English). Also if possible please test unlocator, I seem to get better speeds from them regarding Netflix.

What the hell? It seems that our Standard Bank cheque account number is invalid, according to AH :/ Need to fully settle our account via debit order by 28th July. Help :(

I use Ireland, UK and sometimes Germany/France, purely because there was a stage where the SA servers were unstable. Haven't tested them again in ages though.

There is still no limit to how much you can download. Remember that this refers to your bandwidth usage, whether streaming or torrenting, etc. There is no limit placed on how much you can use at all.

Business is still primarily aimed at business concerns, whether's a work from home business or a small office. As far as I know, many clients are still drawn from that market, especially with features like Business Optimisation which helps them run a smoother office internet experience.

The tests being run are not necessarily permanent, but I have not ETA on when they may end or be adjusted. It really depends on the feedback we receive from all channels, including social media, support requests and from our network engineers.

When you limit the line you are limiting how much people can download......

There is no cap (hard or soft) imposed on the account. While some services are shaped (which is the nature of a shaped product), there is never a limit placed on how much data you can use. If you are using services that are not shaped, there is no limit to the data you can used other than the limit of your line's performance and the account rate you have opted for.

For YouTube I use our dynamic DNS. For UnoTelly, I'd have to check what was assigned to us when we tested. Also don't really want to give the impression that we can endorse or support outside DNS services. Unfortunately we can't.

Drop me a DM and I'll give you as much information as I can to help you with this :(

Semantics...
But essentially throttling or shaping does limit the amount of data you can move. It's not an arbitrary limit like, for example, 100GB, but it does not allow you to move the maximum amount of data your line is capable of in any particular period, so it can be considered limiting.

Afriman, please check your inbox :)

My a/c number is 9-digit in length. Is this the cause?
Hmm. Last SB account number I recall having was 8 digits plus a leading zero - so it should be fine?

My SB cheque account number is also 9 digits (no zeros)

So weird :( My account's 100% active. There are 3 zeroes (Not leading/trailing) in my a/c number.

I'll have to check when I get that DM. Sorry, been stuck in a meeting for a bit. Will get onto this :(

Sure, no problem. Take your time :)

Anyone here who is familiar with this kind of debit order issue, please tell me how you got it sorted out. AH couldn't debit my account for some reasons :( See the error message below.

TARGET/HOMING ACCOUNT FAILED CDV CHECK

I've checked my account no again and again. The number is correct. All the digits are placed in their correct positions.

Branch code correct? Also leading zero issues, or something

E.2. Check Digit Verification Routine
Referring to the Bank Branch code and account number before you, the CDV parameter table is used in the following manner:
(i) Check that the branch is valid by referring to the Bank branch names list (CIRTS52) or Magnetic Tape (CIM900 –
Appendix I).
(ii) Determine whether the branch is computerised or non-computerised by referring to the "stream code" column in the Bank
Branch Names List/tape (CIRTS52 or CIM900). Refer E.1.2 (ii).
(iii) Having located the range, establish the account type in the next column “Account Type”.
(iv) Having established the account type determine the “Acct Indic” by referring to the Acct Indic column. To establish whether
the account number is check-digit-verifiable or not, use the “Acct Indic” code and apply to the Account Indication Table on
Page E-5. (Remember the computerised status from (ii) above.)
If the Account No. is Check-Digit-Verifiable:
(v) Multiply each digit of the account number by the corresponding weighting in the "weighting digits" column and total the
products. (The A, D, H, J, N, T in the "weighting digits" column indicates the following: A = 10, D = 13, H = 17,
J = 19, N = 23, T = 29.)
(vi) Add the fudge factor given in the "fudge factor" column.
(vii) Divide by the modulus given in the "modulus" column. The remainder must be zero unless otherwise specified in the
"exception code" column.

Interesting.

AH uses the SB universal branch code. I can't change it to mine via via clientzone.
